We have no argument that this act was deserving of punishment. Immediately thereafter he was taken to the home of the other party where he apologized. When we returned home he received @ @ @ F4~a severe and embarrassing spanking, along with a lecture on his behavior. As far as we were concerned, the matter was closed. We also feel that the Den Meeting Christmas Party was a totally iEnapCpCrCoCpCrCiCaCt@e venue to air this. JC2.JCPoublic apology to the Den IJC3.JrPublic apology to the Pack IJC4.JFNo awards or patches for progress until items 1, 2, and 3 are fulfilleCd.SSEnd$ZmphWe have no problem with replacing the torn uniform article, although that was the first time we were made aware of it. If it was torn by Travis, or through his actions, we will be glad to replace it. We will have him apLologize to his Den. As for apologizing to the entire Pack, we will not subject him to this. He has already performed this directly to the affected party. If public embarrassment is to be a part of his punishment, we feel the airing of the incident at the Den meeting has already taken care of this, both for him and his parents. SEndxIHAmTA@BWe are not taking up, or making excuses, for Travis. What he did was clearly wrong. It was also similar to incidents we see take p/lace every time the Pack meets for camp outs, oGr for that matter just about any time you have a group of boys that ageN. Will you similarly punish every child that pushes another during a Scout activity? Although we feel you are an excellent Den Leader, and that the Cub Scouts are a very worthwhile activity, we will not have Travis made an example of.
